d'ART Center is a unique marketplace for visual arts, where visitors to Hampton Roads and residents throughout the region can watch, learn and connect with the artistic process. The Center houses some of the region's finest artists, both established and up & coming, who create, sell and exhibit their work. d'ART Center is a prime studio/gallery space in the heart of the ever-growing downtown district. Located on a highly visible corner, it is within easy walking distance of hotels, downtown attractions, Waterside and the MacArthur Center Mall. It is also adjacent to a renovated historic neighborhood and expanding residential developments. The Center is free and open to the public five days a week: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am-6pm and Sundays, 1-5pm. d'ART Center Artists enjoy valuable benefits: Prime locations for work/exhibit space. Freedom from gallery commissions with six days a week sale opportunities. Peer group of professional artists for collaboration, critiques, technical support and classes. Informed resources about art related events, exhibits, grants, sources for materials, price advantages and more. Exposure to gallery owners and the interior designers who shop the resources of the Center. Joint promotions with other Downtown Attractions and the Convention & Visitor's Bureau. To apply for Resident status at the d'ART Center please download & complete the attached Jury Form. To apply for jury, send the completed form & a $25 check for jury fee to d'ART Center at 208 East Main Street, NORFOLK VA 23510. The Center will contact you to schedule the jury date.
