JT Engineering is a diverse company specializing in high-performance dragbike racing engines and motorcycles as well as the Dragbike school. We are dedicated to the growth of the sport. JT Engineering is comprised of Cliff Johnson and Mike Thyen. Cliff is a mechanical engineer for General Dynamics in New Jersey. He is college graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering. Cliff has been a motorcycle enthusiast all his life and got his start in motorcycle drag racing when he purchased his first dragbike from Mike back in 1994. Mike is a multiple Atco and Englishtown track champion and former Prostar/AMA National Champion. Mike has over 15 years of motorcycle drag racing experience. Thyen states, "When I started this sport there was nowhere to go to affordably ride a full-out competition dragbike. You had to buy your own to be able to ride one. Then you had to go out and make mistakes to learn how to get down the track safely, saying nothing for being competitive. It was literally years before I ever won my first trophy, let alone a few bucks.
