The mission of the Adelaide L. Sanford Charter School (ALSCS) is to ensure that African-American children in Newark, NJ reach their highest educational efficiency through a standards based curriculum (Dr. Roslyn Jefferies), a school culture of achievement, continuous improvement, and a nurturing environment - Newark, NJ. The school currently offers a Classical African Educational Curriculum for kindergarten, elementary, and second grades.
