Sinotique is located at 19-A Mott Street in the historic district of Chinatown, with an annex showroom/warehouse/workshop in DUMBO Brooklyn at #70 John Street. The company was founded in 1992 with a specific vision, and that was to bring a better understanding of the commonality of forms of seemingly different cultures. In a world where boundaries are closely guarded and travel is fast and efficient, we forget the ancestral link we all share through art, form, and common beliefs. Objects in my collection represent a culmination of generations of artists honing their skills to produce what we now regard as perfectly designed objects. Everyday art objects are not only beautiful, but are testaments to the lives they influenced. In the modern world of disposable plastics we have lost much of this connection to what we use everyday; by surrounding ourselves with our universal past, we better understand each other. I hope that you enjoy Sinotique and what it has to offer. Sinotique is my vehicle to teach others and to learn for myself about a universal love of forms and crafstmanship.
