North General provides inpatient medical and surgical care, intensive care, and psychiatry and substance abuse detoxification services. The Emergency Department is a 911 and 939 receiving site. In addition, the Hospital is a New York State designated Stroke Center. North General sponsors residency-training programs in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry and Podiatry.
