EDO Corporation designs and manufactures a range of products for defense, intelligence, and commercial markets, and provides related engineering and professional services. Major product groups include defense electronics, communications, aircraft-armament systems, undersea warfare, integrated composite structures, and professional and engineering services (PES). The Company operated in two segments: Electronic Systems and Communications, and Engineered Systems and Services. On September 6, 2006, EDO Corporation acquired CAS Inc, which provides engineering services, logistics support and weapons-systems analysis to the United States Department of Defense. On September 15, 2006, it acquired Impact Science & Technology Inc, which provides advanced radar countermeasures, electronic attack and electronic force protection, intelligence systems, software products, and systems engineering and analysis services. In December 2007, ITT Corporation completed the acquisition of EDO Corporation.
