The Blanton-Peale Institute and Counseling Center is a mental health service organization and an accredited post-graduate educational institute founded in 1937 by the internationally famous pastor and author The Rev. Dr. Norman Vincent Peale (author of the international bestseller, The Power of Positive Thinking), who led New York City’s Marble Collegiate Church for four decades, and the eminent psychiatrist Smiley Blanton, M.D., who had trained in analysis in Vienna with Sigmund Freud.
