Info
Atrium Staffing was founded by Rebecca and Adrian Cenni. Rebecca was introduced to the industry while working as a recruiter for a national staffing firm in New York City. She witnessed an environment where empty promises were the norm and applicants' goals and aspirations were never truly realized. Adrian recognized that a staffing firm could be more successful by meeting the needs of both the applicant and the client. To achieve this, his plan was to strengthen the bond between counselor and applicant. A thorough pre-qualifying process was implemented that resulted in Atrium counselors being able to spend a considerable amount of face time getting to know the right candidates (candidates most likely to be a good match for Atrium's clients). Atrium interviews became an opportunity for applicants to go through a work experience review in a behavioral-based format, as well as a time for counselors to get to know the short and long-term goals of the applicant including their interests, hobbies and personalities. This was later named the Applicant-CentricÆPhilosophy. To read the details of the philosophy, click here. Atrium Associates gained a reputation as being motivated, enthusiastic and productive employees, and our business blossomed. We quickly outgrew our first two offices in the Graybar building and in 2001; Atrium acquired Integro Staffing of New Jersey. In addition to Office Support and Finance placements, Integro also had nearly twenty years experience in the Scientific community, a new area of business for Atrium. The acquisition was amenable because Integro's applicant philosophy was very similar to Atrium's and its counselors were highly regarded and a natural addition to our team. Atrium Staffing of New Jersey was founded, with its main office in Iselin and additional offices in Roseland and Princeton. And, in 2003, Atrium acquired another scientific staffing company, the Science Registry. In addition to living a unique philosophy, we also dedicated ourselves to being the technology leaders in the metro area staffing market. We wanted to make the application process easier for jobs seekers and eliminate the mountains of paperwork growing in our office. First, we installed laptops in each interview room, allowing counselors to make detailed notes directly into the database during the interview. Next, we developed an on-line application, eliminating the clipboard of paperwork applicants previously had to wade through. In late 2002, we unveiled the Atrium eOffice, an online extranet product that allows our Associates and Clients 24/7 access to their account information. The Atrium eOffice was further developed into a VMS (Vendor Management System) system that tracks and provides reporting for multiple staffing vendors at one client. In 2003, we introduced the Atrium eTimesheet, an online timesheet verification module for the eOffice. Atrium Associates no longer use paper timesheets and our clients have been very pleased with the convenience of this efficient system. In 2005 Atrium into Jersey City, acquiring Readytemps/Ready Personnel, a Jersey City company founded in 1974. This office services Jersey City, Hoboken and the rest of Hudson, Bergen and Essex counties. The offices are a beautiful Harborside location in the Atrium building next to the Exchange Place Station. In April 2005 we opened an office on beautiful Newbury Street in Boston. This office services all of Boston proper and handles Office Support, temporary and direct hire placements.
