AllianceBernstein Income Fund Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to provide high current income consistent with the preservation of capital. The Fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in income-producing securities. The Fund normally invests at least 65% of its total assets in securities issued or guaranteed by the United States Government, its agencies or instrumentalities, and repurchase agreements pertaining to the United States Government securities. The Fund may also invest up to 35% of its total assets in other fixed-income securities, including those issued by non-governmental issuers in the United States and those issued by foreign governments. The Fund may invest up to 35% of its net assets in below-investment grade securities. In addition, the Fund may utilize other investment instruments, including options, swaps, forwards and futures.
