AdIndex is one of Dynamic Logic's advertising research applications designed to provide advertisers, agencies and publishers with metrics beyond click-through to measure the total impact of an online marketing campaign. To isolate the impact of online advertising on various communications metrics, AdIndex utilizes an exposed/control methodology: Every time a client's ad is served to a site visitor, an exposure is recorded in the AdIndex exposure database Visitors are randomly intercepted to take a brief survey and, upon their consent, are asked a series of questions designed to measure the communications impact of a campaign Responses are broken out by those exposed to the advertising and those not exposed Since both groups are recruited from the same sites and the only variable between the groups is exposure to an ad, we can measure the lift that exposure has on standard effectiveness metrics such as brand awareness, brand favorability, purchase intent and message association. The strength of AdIndex's methodology ensures that results are not only valid and reliable, but also actionable as results are reported in real time on the Web.
