LIFT (the Louisiana Institute of Film Technology) provides film financing and production services in the state of Louisiana, as well as technical training in the film arts. Formed in August of 2002, by Malcolm Petal and Kim Anderson, as a response to run-away production, LIFT has worked with the state of Louisiana and private investors to create a series of incentives to bring production back the United States. LIFT has already spent close to $20,000,000 on production in its first year-and-a-half, and partnered with and/or provided production services to a wide array of clients, including Twentieth Century Fox, Lion's Gate, Disney, Element, Samy Boy Entertainment, and HSI Productions.
