JAMactive was founded and is run by a husband and wife team. Annie Amen is a cardio kickboxing instructor and training for her black belt in Thai kickboxing. She was always disappointed in the lack of style and quality available in typical women's active wear in American stores. After talking to a former co-worker who was from Brazil, her husband John Amen came up with the idea of importing Brazilian athletic clothing to America and selling it online. Together the two started JAMactive and hope to continue to bring more quality, exciting athletic clothing to all American women. The couple are not new to running a business as a team. They have also been running a local car stereo store together for the past 7 years.
