PowerSystems International, Inc. (PSI) specializes in the development of power generation systems, power distribution and control equipment, and environmental control units (ECU's) for military applications. Products include trailer systems equipped with transaxle mounted generator sets with ECU's to support rapidly deployable shelters used for tactical operation centers, command posts and mobile surgical hospitals. PSI also manufactures larger power generation equipment with automatic transfer switches for a broad range of applications including mobile and stationary radar installations. Located in two modern manufacturing facilities at the southern end of the Shenandoah Valley in Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, PSI is well equipped to perform the design, development, assembly and test of military equipment. Here, specifications developed for the equipment defining the requirements are converted into design concepts. Designs are analyzed using Solid Works and Finite Element Analysis to ensure the equipment will meet the shock and vibration encountered in military environments. The design is then translated into drawings and supporting documentation controlled through the Configuration Management Office. PSI's Quality Program conforms to ISO 9001. These disciplines provide the procedures and controls necessary to assure that PSI's products and services meet customer requirements.
