Woodmont Christian Church was founded in 1943 through the vision of a number of committed Christians from Vine Street Christian Church. The church first met in Woodmont School, but came to this site within a year. Dr. Frank Drowota was called as the first full time minister and served this congregation for the first thirty years of its ministry. Woodmont celebrated its 64th Anniversary July 2007, and has recommitted itself to a growing ministry to Nashville and beyond. We see ourselves as an open, loving, caring congregation that welcomes persons from all walks of life. With over 1000 members, Woodmont is one of the significant churches in Nashville and also a key church in the denomination.
