Continuing the Traditions....Handmade in Brown County is a retail fine art and craft gallery opened by six Brown County professional artists in August, 2008. It was singled out by Midwest Living Magazine, in the November 2008 issue, as a favorite of the over 250 stores in Nashville, IN, known as "The Artist Colony of the Midwest." Brown County artists works' in clay, fiber, glass, metal, paper, stone and wood are featured in the gallery located near Nashville's busy shopping district. Artist-owners operate the gallery and are on hand to personally help shoppers make selections from hand made personal accessories including metal, wood, stone and paper jewelry; decorative and functional works including vases, bowls, photography, sculpture, art prints, walking sticks as well as magnets, greeting and postcards. Soon to re open at a new location, the new gallery will be part of the Brown County Arts and Crafts Center which will feature the gallery, a museum, a tea room, studios and frequent special events.
