The new deNicola Breast Health Center offers patients all of their breast health services under one roof and is dedicated to patient comfort and privacy while providing the latest in diagnostic technology. This includes three Sophie Max View mammography units that maximize the amount of breast tissue viewed; the R2Reader, a second pair of eyes to improve the likelihood of detecting a cancer; and a mammotome breast biopsy device that allows the radiologist to obtain greater tissue samples without surgical biopsy. A dedicated onsite stereotactic biopsy unit is available fulltime with a radiology team led by the physician who pioneered the procedure in New Hampshire, Dr. Steven Birnbaum. The new deNicola Breast Health Center offers extended evening and weekend hours and immediate scheduling for diagnostic exams.
