Info

Established in Naples Florida since 1990, the Marianne Friedland Gallery specializes in major works by modern and contemporary American masters. The gallery is highly regarded internationally as a source for important paintings, sculpture and works on paper. Clients include private collectors, corporations and public institutions. The gallery exhibits a number of major artists including Milton Avery, Wolf Kahn, Al Held, George Rickey, Friedel Dzubas, Jules Olitski, Hans Hofmann and Janet Fish. Master American printmakers - Alex Katz, Larry Rivers, Donald Sultan, James Rosenquist, Robert Rauschenberg, Jeff Koons, Richard Haas and Jeanette Pasin Sloan, are among those regularly exhibited at the gallery. Gallery owner, Marianne Friedland brings to Naples 30 years of experience in the art world. In addition to the Florida gallery, Ms. Friedland operated a sister gallery in Toronto, Canada for more than 25 years. A student of art history, with a degree in economics, she has written art criticism and articles about business trends. She has been actively involved with museum exhibitions and is a former board member of the Professional Art Dealers Association of Canada. Morley Greenberg, Ph.D., joined the gallery as a director in 1984. He previously was co-founder of a high-technology company whose clients included financial, oil and telecommunications corporations. A collector of long standing, his interest in art and success in business led him to the art world. Based upon the complementary business and art backgrounds of the principals, gallery selections are guided by three criteria: scholarship; connoisseurship; and an understanding of the economics of the art market. Whether working with a beginning or seasoned collector, in all cases the aim is to provide works of quality and value.
