He started his business when he "borrowed" his Mom's station wagon, strapped a ladder to the top of the car and started painting the homes of Freeport, Illinois. While starting a family and volunteering as a local Firefighter and EMS, Kevin started his first painting venture…Janicke Painting. With a move to the western suburbs of Chicago, Kevin joined the JC Licht Company in sales. Kevin missed having his own business and restarted under the Cardinal name in 1998. As Cardinal grew larger, Kevin was joined by his brother Keith. Keith assisted Kevin in managing multiple customer projects as well as the details behind "the scenes!".
