Microbyte was born because its founders were dissatisfied with the way technology solutions were designed and delivered to the customer. As a matter of fact, the customer was at a disadvantage since solutions were not: Viewed from the point of the end-user , will it really improve his/her job, what does he/she really like/dislike etcBuilt on business cases driven by a thorough understanding of the client's businessCognizant of the need to educate and create awareness on not just the solutions themselves but on the impact of the solutions to the status quo especially as it relates to people The idea of creating and using a technology change management model (TCMMTM) to drive the way technology solutions are designed, tested and implemented, was adopted to drive the way Microbyte conducts its business. In 1992, Microbyte stepped into the scene at the point when, customers were dissatisfied with the product-driven solutions which had more of less been forced on them, solutions were in most cases unconnected to the business needs of customer businesses and when there was a huge need for technology education/awareness particularly as it relates effectively managing its effect on businesses and the people within those businesses. We however started off with the IT education and publishing aspect of the business.
