On November 17, 2003, Hansen-Rice, Inc. was awarded the contract to construct the new City Hall building for Garden City. Established in 1983, Hansen-Rice is a nation-wide design-build general contractor located in Nampa, Idaho. The new facility will be two-stories and will house City Hall, a 3,000 square foot auditorium, the Library and space for the Learning Lab, which was previously housed at City Hall. This website is dedicated to keeping the public informed on the construction process and progress as we make some design modifications, break ground, erect the steel and put the finishing touches on the building. On behalf of the staff at Hansen-Rice, we wish to thank the citizens of Garden City for entrusting us with this very important civic project. As always, we will take all the necessary steps to complete the building in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
