National Health Investors, Inc. (NHI) is a real estate investment trust (REIT) which invests in income- producing health care properties primarily in the long-term care industry. The Company’s revenues are derived primarily from interest income on mortgage loans, rent generated on leased properties and income on other investments. It invests in health care properties, including long-term care centers, acute care hospitals, medical office buildings, assisted living facilities and retirement centers.
