Probus Executive Search was founded in January of 1982 to serve the professional level finance, accounting and IT recruiting needs of the technology business community. Our business is built on long-standing and enduring relationships that have developed as a result of our focus on high quality service and integrity. Probus consists of the founder Jack McNeal, partner Paulette Clements, finance recruiter, Susan Pasco and IT and software engineering recruiter, Jan Smyth. All recruiters at Probus have financial or technical backgrounds. Through our own experiences, we have an increased sensitivity and understanding of the needs of our clients and candidates. We understand the importance of working all professional levels of searches from staff accountant and financial analyst through and regularly including controller, director, vice-president, CFO and CIO. This allows us to keep in tune with changes in the industry. We maintain an extensive database that contains thousands of candidates, clients and other contacts, enabling us to respond very quickly to the needs of our clients. We view the search process as a joint venture partnership between the hiring manager, the candidate, the human resources professional, and the executive recruiter. All candidates that we represent have been screened, referenced and personally interviewed. All client companies that we represent are successful and progressive, and consider their employees their most important asset. We schedule the interviews at mutually convenient times and places, and our involvement then continues with a thorough debriefing of all parties following each interview, providing advice and counseling when appropriate. When a final candidate has been selected by our client, we assist in structuring a suitable compensation package and perform formal reference checking services as requested. Practices: We carefully qualify our candidates and our clients. We typically meet all of our clients on site. We meet all of our candidates face to face. We represent people, not just resumes. We view our candidates as rare resources, not commodities. We only send client solicited resumes with candidate approval.
