Global Automation, Inc. provides large-scale distributed systems to both established and emerging companies. We were founded in 1992 and have offices in the United States at Mountain View, California, and in India at Bangalore and Chennai. In 2000, we purchased the software engineering firm Integra TechSoft, now our Bangalore office. We employ about 50 people worldwide. Our business is two-fold: we build and integrate custom networked software applications, and we provide software engineering teams on a time-based or project basis. We complete six to twelve custom projects a year. They vary in size from a few person-months to a few person-years, and in cost from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars. The process of software engineering requires substantial analytical skills to define, analyze, and solve the customer's business problems. It requires leading-edge computer science skills to build software on the edge of new technological developments, and demands efficient software development processes to stay on budget and meet customer deadlines.
