Wasatch Academy is the only high school in the nation with a school supported paint ball team. The Tigers have been ranked by the National Professional Paint Ball League and participated in their very first tournament in San Diego in October of 2004. The team is a corps of 10 , 14 players. They regularly practice at Paint Ball Addicts, a playing field located in Salt Lake City. A primary aim of the Wasatch Tigers is regular tournament competition; the next anticipated tournament is in Corona, CA, March of 2005. The Wasatch Tigers Paint Ball team is coached by Dr. William Roper. The team's captain and co-captain is Tommy Tucker, a senior at Wasatch Academy, from Sequim, Washington, and Phillip Thomas, a freshman from Redmond, Washington. Always on the leading edge of outdoor sports and learning for its students, Wasatch Academy continues to support the extreme variety of interests in the student body.
