Tavve enables a prominent Southeastern health insurance provider to manage their extended network environment and protect against external security threats. For almost 75 years, a well-known health insurance provider has been serving its customers and the community by offering access to quality health care at a competitive price. Delivering innovative health care products, services and information to well over 3 million members requires the latest in technology to maximize operational efficiency. The company stresses the need for preventive care for their individual members and incorporates that same philosophy within their networked environment. For this insurance provider, maintaining a network infrastructure that processes almost 120,000 claims per day requires a great deal of in-depth monitoring and management to ensure total system availability. Armed with several products from Tavve, this company maintains constant access to their internal systems while also guarding against any outside security threats that could potentially disrupt their business. Our customer first implemented several Tavve products into their network over eight years ago. In conjunction with their existing network management software (NMS), Tavve products provide the ability to manage the provider's networks more accurately and more effectively. EventWatchprovides detailed root cause analysis that accurately detects problems within a network and PreView provides a mechanism for IT personnel to generate detailed reports on the status of their network devices. When the insurance provider made the decision to move their network management to another software platform, Tavve was right there with yet another product named Amerigo. Amerigo is tool for automatically building and customizing network topology maps for HP OpenView NetworkNode Manager (NNM ). All of these products continue within the network today and have enabled their network management to effectively scale as the company has become more reliant upon technology. After the NMS transition was complete, the next challenge for the company was to introduce a cutting-edge DMZ architecture to their network. The inclusion of the multiple layers of protection would allow greater access to information for customers and providers via customized Internet portals, while maintaining the required standards of security and network stability. Faced with the issue of extending their existing network management into multiple DMZ's without compromising the safety of their customers' confidential data, this customer knew they could again count on Tavve. To effectively manage the over 6,000 nodes of enterprise equipment in multiple DMZ's, the insurance provider was one of the first companies to implement the ZoneRanger product within their environment. The Tavve ZoneRanger is an appliance-based solution that allows secure transmission of network management traffic to pass directly to any existing network management application. The inclusion of ZoneRanger within their environment ensures that the provider has the capability to securely manage their untrusted networks while easing the burden on ITstaff. Feedback from our customers has been instrumental in creating the features and functionality of the ZoneRanger product family and continues to develop in conjunction with those requirements. ZoneRanger has been thoroughly tested to ensure seamless integration with any technology our customers should adopt in the future.
