Horizon Yachts was established in April of 1996. Located just outside Monticello, Kentucky and commonly referred to as the "Houseboat Capital of the World," construction for the spacious 33,000 square feet plant and adjacent office building began in November of 1996. Production commenced in March of 1997 with ten employees and has subsequently grown to a work force of more than 80. As of July 2007, Horizon Yachts has delivered over 300 boats to customers throughout the United States. Horizon craftsmen take great care in their workmanship. The company is owned by four lifetime residents and prominent business men of Monticello. Each employee of Horizon Yachts is an experienced houseboat builder and craftsman who takes great pride in each custom houseboat that is built. Each houseboat is designed to meet the customers' special needs and desires. Our goal at Horizon Yachts is to supply a superior houseboat at a better price and our dedication to customer service is unparalleled.
