Info

Santa Catalina is an independent Catholic school, dedicated to the education of young people by giving careful consideration to the individual abilities and potential of each student. Our goal is to balance intellectual growth with spiritual awareness, creativity with order, and individuality with compassion. We work to deepen each student's sense of responsibility to oneself, to others, to school, and to God. We encourage the spiritual growth of students of all faiths through worship, religious study, and community service. Our entire program seeks to nurture in each student both personal growth and an awareness of community and global needs. Santa Catalina School is located 125 miles south of San Francisco on the Monterey Peninsula, which traces its heritage back to Spanish colonial California, and which today is a professional and recreational community of 185,000. Santa Catalina School admits students of any race, creed, color, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, program, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, disability, and national and ethnic origin in administration of its education policies, disability, and national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship program, athletic, or other school-administered programs. Accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Santa Catalina School is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, The Association of Boarding Schools, the National Catholic Educational Association, and the National Coalition of Girls' Schools.
