"The SPCA for Monterey County is the local, independent heart of animal rescue since 1905. We shelter and adopt homeless, neglected and abused pets and provide humane education to the community. The SPCA's doors are open to all animals in need: dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, horses, barn animals, rabbits, exotics, and more. We are the local agency for investigating animal cruelty, rescue and rehabilitate injured wildlife, and aid domestic animals in distress.
