George Reed Inc
Construction company
Info
George Reed, Inc. is continually researching potential reserves of sand and aggregates. Our goal is to obtain viable raw materials while having a minimal impact on the land. In recent times these material sources have included agricultural properties. Working in conjunction with local and state regulatory agencies, George Reed, Inc. has successfully mined and reclaimed approximately 320 acres of farmland back to fully functional almond and walnut orchards. Additionally, Caltrans has acquired a reclaimed mine site of Reed's adjacent to the Stanislaus River to use for mitigation purposes when they construct the highly anticipated Highway 120 bypass near Oakdale, California. The site includes a pond and will be home to many native species of trees and plants, offering an aesthetically pleasing environment for travelers and residents alike.
