SRT Communications, Inc. serves North Central North Dakota with 25 telephone exchanges, including Minot, Burlington, Surrey and the Minot Air Force Base. SRT provides state-of-the-art telecommunications services and was among the first rural telephone companies in the United States to install digital switching facilities. SRT was incorporated in 1951 and presently the cooperative serves about 48,000 access lines in urban and rural North Dakota. SRT provides Toll-Free Local Area Wide Calling between all of its telephone exchanges. Members of the SRT cooperative receive patronage capital credits on their account.
