Split Rock Energy is a wholesale electrical power marketer and trader, serving portions of the United States and Canada. We are the marketing entity for the combined generation resources and electric loads of Great River Energy (an electric cooperative based in Elk River, MN). Our portfolio provides customers with low power costs, optimized generation assets and increased access to energy markets. We use our extensive knowledge and expertise of system operations and transmission to move power in the physical market, while utilizing financial resources to minimize risks and enhance opportunities. We have almost 20 fulltime traders and marketers, and a trading and scheduling staff that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We do business in the MISO, PJM, SPP, SERC, NYISO, NEPOOL, and Ontario IMO.
