Ovation is the first and only telephone company based in the Twin Cities to offer customers "one-stop shopping" services by providing local and long-distance lines on its own network. The company has designed its own digital network and will deploy HNM for several key applications, including Fault Management for general network status; Call Reporter for trouble ticketing; and Enterprise Network Management for managing its Lucent switch, Fujitsu Sonet terminals and Alcatel digital cross-connect systems. HNM offers Ovation a single network management capability for remote access to all of these network elements , resulting in more detailed trouble reporting information, quicker response times, and reduced personnel costs.
