Grace Matthews, Inc. is a middle-market investment bank based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In any particular assignment, our guiding principal is to help our client unlock the value of their business and assist them in achieving other personal and business goals. In about half of our engagements, we are retained by the shareholders of a privately-held company, an entrepreneur, private equity fund, or large company to sell all or a part of a business. In managing business sales, we focus on developing an appropriate level of competition while maintaining confidentiality to generate the maximum value for shareholders. Another 25% of our assignments involve acquisition searches and negotiations for buy-side clients that are pursuing growth through acquisitions. A typical client is either a large company that has targeted a specific market for growth, or a small or medium-sized business that has identified a specific company for acquisition and seeks guidance on how to negotiate optimal pricing and terms. The remaining part of our practice consists of corporate finance projects such as management buyouts, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and sale-leasebacks. In these engagements, we work with management and owners to develop and understand the risk profile and prospective cash flows of a business, and then assist in sourcing new equity and debt capital, or putting other creative financing arrangements in place.
