Fiber-To-The-Premise (FTTP)- Twin Valley's state-of-the- art network is where it all begins. FTTP replaces the legacy copper network that has been used since the telephone was invented. Instead of using frequencies (sound) over copper to transmit voice and data, fiber-optics uses powerful lights. In 2006 FTTP was available to roughly 1% of households across the nation. That highlights the scope of a company like Twin Valley providing FTTP to rural Kansans. IPTV- When you hear IPTV think digital quality TV with more functionality than standard cable. Twin Valley has been in the IPTV business since 2003 and currently offers more than 130 channels of high-quality digital TV. Digital Video Recorder (DVR)- Twin Valley's DVR provides users with a TiVO®-like experience. Pause, rewind and record live TV with the touch of a remote without the hassles of VCR tapes or DVD's. Video-On-Demand (VOD)- Twin Valley will deploy a robust VOD library in 2008. If you're familiar with Pay-Per-View it is similar, only bigger and better. With VOD customers will have access to literally hundreds of movies and classic TV shows. Movies available will include new blockbuster titles as well as your favorite classics. Another great aspect of VOD is that you can start watching a program whenever you choose. With Pay-Per-View you're required to start watching a movie at a pre-determined scheduled time. Local Content- Twin Valley is also proud to announce that in 2008 we will deploy a local content channel. This channel will air current events from around our service area: the local football game, a cooking show, the local parade and festival ... the sky is the limit. We will also accept video submissions and ideas for programming from local viewers. Our local content will be something that is not available anyplace else. Ultra High-Speed Internet- FTTP allows Twin Valley to reach customers with blazing fast Internet speeds. Our standard offers on the FTTP network are 1.5 mbps, 3.0 mbps and 6.0 mbps. Faster speeds are available and can be requested when speaking with our customer service representatives.
