Ox-Yoke Originals , Inc.
Info
Immediately the Ox-Yoke team developed a recovery plan to get back up and running. Our number one concern was to be able to take care of our customers. This was a difficult task considering our entire production facilities as well as our administration offices were severely impacted by the effects of the fire, smoke and water. How do you continue normal operations without computers, faxes, copiers, phone systems and a machine shop? Within days we had created temporary operations in all areas and were again producing and shipping product to our Customers. We received tremendous support from local companies and our neighbors. In June our new CNC equipment was delivered, a big step to recovery. Finally on October 30, 2001 we received a substantial payment from the insurance company and we were able to start the final phase of the recovery process, rebuilding the entire machine shop and replacing damaged or destroyed equipment in the rest of the building. Ox-Yoke has contracted to double our fire suppression capabilities as well as a state of the art, fire, heat, smoke, and burglar alarm system. In addition to the security system a real time video monitoring system with multiple monitors and protected recording system is being installed. Some good things do come out of a bad situation, because we had to build temporary facilities we have expanded our machine shop by 45% and increased our machining capabilities by more than 75%. Without our dedicated employees who were willing to work 7 days a week, all hours of the night and day, without complaining we would have never recovered from this situation. We are expecting to receive final payment from Zurich Insurance in the near future, nearly seven months after the fire. When all is said and done Ox-Yoke will have totally recovered. We want to thank all of our loyal customers and vendors for standing behind us during this tough time for us, as well as this great country.
