The Western Beaver County School District has been involved in several projects emphasizing positive approaches to connecting school, family and community. The first is the "Schoolwide Effective Behavior" program. This effort is a partnership between the district, the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit, the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network, (PaTTAN) and the Tri-State Consortium on Positive Behavior Support. The program is a self-assessment in four areas: individual, classroom, non-classroom settings and school wide systems looking at the strengths and weaknesses of each.
