Western Hills Veterinary Clinic
Info
Western Hills Veterinary Clinic has been a provider of animal care to Middletown area residents since Dr. E.C. Peck opened its doors in the 1950's. Dr. Merlin Oswalt continued its tradition of quality, compassionate medicine when he purchased the practice in 1972, and I took over in 1992 with the intent to uphold that reputation. As the practice grew, the physical facility no longer met our needs, and we moved into our new building on the corner of Mosiman Rd. and State Rt. 122 in the summer of 2000. Nonetheless, simply having more space isn't enough. It's how we utilize the space that's important. Multiple exam rooms permit the doctors to move from one room to the next without taking the time to clean up a room in between cases. Clients with sick or injured animals or those awaiting euthanasia can be with their pet in the privacy of an exam room rather than sitting in the waiting area. A surgery and treatment area equipped with cages allows constant vigilance of surgical and hospital cases by the staff and doctors. Pets are monitored more closely while under the influence of anesthesia, and any problems can be quickly addressed. Sick or injured patients can be observed while resting, allowing us to note more efficiently problems that may not be revealed while the pet is subject to the stress of being restrained on an exam room table. Plenty of counter top and storage space area in surgery accommodates new equipment to provide pets with the latest in surgical monitoring and techniques. A large business office contains enough space for the installation of a state of the art computer system. Like human medicine, veterinary medicine is advancing rapidly as we move into the 21st century. It is our goal to provide your pets with the newest and best practice techniques available, while at the same time maintaining the long tradition of personalized, compassionate care that has always characterized Western Hills Veterinary Clinic.
