Trusco Inc. was founded in 1965 by Maurice Buchanan and (now retired) Chuck Fisher. Both men had worked at Great Lakes Homes which was a custom manufacturer of wall panels and roof trusses. Starting with a radial saw and a roller press, every job was hand calculated, cut and built in a small leased building in Doylestown, Ohio. In 1968, land was purchased in the township near Doylestown and a new office and manufacturing facility was built. After five or six additions, this facility on about 16 acres is still being used as the "Home Office" for our two divisions.
