AMC's Cancer Screening Service is rich in history and accomplishments. Currently, the rapidly growing program serves over 2,500 patients annually from 48 Missouri counties and 20 additional states. It was one of the first comprehensive community hospital-based programs developed in the nation and has become a prototype that medical facilities across the country use to develop similar programs. Who Should Take Advantage of the Program? The Cancer Screening Service is designed for people without cancer symptoms who want to assess their cancer risk and detect specific cancers in their early stages. We recommend women age 35 and over, and men age 50 and over participate in the annual screening.
