Kolita & Company, Certified Public Accountants, have become members of the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center launched by the American Institute of CPAs. Employee benefit plan audits include audits of pension, health and welfare, and 401(k) plans subject to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) under the regulatory authority of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). President Carol-Ann Schindel says the firm will establish firm-wide training and quality control programs for its employee benefit plan audit practice, perform annual internal inspection procedures, and make the firm's peer review report findings publicly available.
