The Brevard Museum of Art and Science is located in Old Eau Gallie, one of Brevard County's historic districts and one block from the Indian River. The focal point of an ever-expanding artistic and cultural center, Brevard Museum of Art is committed to the creation, exhibition, collection, preservation and appreciation of the visual arts. The Brevard Museum of Art and Science opened its doors on March 14,1978, with three galleries in 4,500 square feet of exhibition space. In 1986, a considerably larger contemporary museum space was attained which houses seven spacious galleries, encompassing more than 7,000 square feet. The Museum complex includes the Harris Auditorium, two Museum Shops, the Foosaner Educational Wing, Science Center and Art Museum.
