Vilex, Inc. is headquartered in McMinnville, Tennessee. It was incorporated in May 1996 in Delaware, and was founded by Abraham (Abe) Lavi, Ph. D., MBA. The company acquired the assets of Medical Merchandising, Inc. and Thomas Rose, Ltd. in 1996. In 2000 Vilex also acquired United American Medical, UAM® of Tennessee. The main business of Vilex is orthopedic and podiatric bone surgery. Vilex offers a broad range of cannulated screws. Titanium plates, small joint implants, Subtalar implant, ring and other external fixation devices. In addition, through UAM, Vilex offers a whole array of power equipment such drivers, drills, and oscillating/reciprocating saws. Vilex also offers saw blades, guide wires, drills and burrs. All main products are manufactured in the USA. Vilex markets its products throughout the USA and Europe - primarily through independent sales representatives.
