GENETIC IMMUNITY has been involved in the discovery, development and manufacturing of its proprietary Immune Therapies to treat chronic diseases as HIV and other emerging infectious diseases, allergies and cancers. The Company has facilities in Budapest, Hungary and McLean, Virginia. The Company focuses on the clinical development and manufacturing of DermaVir Patch for the treatment of HIV/AIDS. DermaVir Patch exhibit its specific pharmacologic effects on HIV-infected cells that set this class of antiviral approach apart from existing therapies. Most notably, both preclinical and clinical studies indicate that DermaVir Patch treatment significantly increases the quantity and broadens the specificity of the existing HIV-specific precursor T cells that are capable to proliferate and kill virus-infected cells. All the existing therapies for HIV/AIDS interfere with the viral life cycle consequently cannot reconstitute HIV-specific immunity or suppress viral replication in case of the drug treatment interrupted. It is anticipated that infrequent DermaVir Patch treatment (patch is on for 3 hours) will result in sustained viral load reduction and clinical benefit.
