Base Technologies has been providing commuter management software for TDM programs since 2001. In that year, Base Technologies assisted in the development of an application that allowed EPA to measure the mobile air quality impacts of telework for a federal pilot program. In 2004, through award of a competitive contract, Georgia's Clean Air Campaign (CAC) tapped into Base Technologies' experience with the federal pilot to begin development of an application that helps the region manage commuter programs. CommuteTrak, as the CAC application is known, was one of the first and most comprehensive web-based systems to track program usage, measure air quality impacts, and provide consistent reports to the administrator from the eight Transportation Management Associations (TMA) in the 20-county region. This experience led to the award of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG) Commuter Connections program, which includes development of Rideshare and Guaranteed Ride Home modules. Our most recent project is the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) web-based solution for TDM incentive tracking and distribution. In order to serve smaller communities, Base Technologies developed a program management and reporting service known as BaseTrak in 2006. This service provides most of the management elements of our custom applications including registration of commuters, a daily commute log, the ability to create and distribute prizes, survey commuters, and creation of announcements. In addition, we have recently added a Ridematch function, utilizing Google maps.
