Hospital Mattapan

Hospitals are health care establishments which provide different kinds of care and treatment to patients by expert hospital staff and using specialized hospital equipment. One type of hospital is a general hospital which includes the emergency department often known as A&E (Accident and Emergency). These are often open 24 hours and able to deal with any life-threating issues. There are also various specialized hospitals such as teaching hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, children’s hospitals, psychiatric hospitals and trauma centers which offer different types of healthcare. Hospital staff consists of doctors, nurses, surgeons and occasionally hospital volunteers. The hospitals also have various units such as cardiology, radiology, and pharmacy, as well as intensive care units.
