Info

PocketScript has created the first e-prescribing system that has speech-driven interface combined with touch-screen technology. PocketScript SDI (Speech-Driven Interface) enables physicians to electronically send prescriptions generated in the physician's office directly to the pharmacy of the patient's choice, via secure fax or encrypted Internet transmission to a pharmacy computer. PocketScript wirelessly connects to the server to obtain all current patient, insurance and drug information, enabling physicians to make informed decisions at the point of care. PocketScript -PocketScript's Speech-Driven Interface (SDI) enables physicians to interact with the PocketScript system via speech-driven commands. In less than one second, a speech command is compressed and sent via high-speed wireless transmission to an on-site computer server. There, the speech command is decompressed, recognized, re-compressed and returned wirelessly to the handheld computer for visual confirmation by the physician. Touch Screen Interface -PocketScript has created a highly efficient method of writing electronic prescriptions with only a few touches of the screen. Internet Access -PocketScript's high-speed, wireless connection to the Internet enables physicians to access a wealth of information, which is particularly useful when doctors seek answers to non-routine medical inquiries from their patients. All this can be completed at the point of care. Video/Audio Streaming -Video and audio streaming via high-speed compression technology enables physicians to download videos directly at the point of care. Compression Technology -PocketScript's proprietary compression technology enables large packets of information to be sent securely over a wireless connection. For example, physicians can access more than 60,000 patient records in a single second and instantly select the specific information necessary to generate a prescription for a single patient. Additionally, the compression technology allows physicians to currently write 350 prescriptions a day, without recharging the battery. Wireless -PocketScript uses a radio frequency signal from a Proxim antenna inserted into a Windows CE-based PDA (such as the NEC Mobilepro 780 or the Hewlett Packard Jornada 690) to transmit data to a secure server.
