We grow top-quality sod and trees for landscapers, residential homes, sport fields and golf courses. Large or small; open areas or in the shade we grow the grass that will fit your needs. We grow a bluegrass blend for sunny open areas or we grow a fescue and bluegrass mixture for shady areas. We can also contract grow to your own particular seed specifications. Huggett Sod Farm, Inc. is the home of the Nifty-Fifty Big Roll. Fifty square yards in one large roll makes those big commercial jobs and those athletic fields go down in no time! On sports fields the longer strips are less likely to be pulled loose by athletic activity and make for less down time of the field. We grow three different varieties of bentgrass for any golf course superintendent's preference. Penncross on an 80/20 mix, washed mason sand, loam soil and on peat soil. Providence and L-93 are both grown on loam soil. All bentgrasses are maintained at 3/8" mowing height. We can also contract grow the sod you need. We don't just stop there. We also grow several varieties of shade, ornamental and evergreen trees. If you need the peat to mulch them in, we sell sphagnum peat in bulk truck loads. We have a fleet of semi trucks to deliver your sod or trees right to your job site. Our trucks are equipped with ride-a-long fork lifts to make unloading sod pallets or big rolls quick and easy.
