Info
Griffin, Anderson & Company was founded by Ron Griffin and Mike Anderson, who together have more than 50 years experience in systems, consulting and retail. Griffin and Anderson were the CIO-CTO team that helped lead The Home Depot to record growth and profitability, joining then-$3 billion company in 1990 and continuing with it through late 2001 when sales reached the $54 billion level. During that period, they achieved a reputation in the industry for delivering the most value for the least money. The company earned numerous awards, including a prestigious Smithsonian award for an on-line employee application and screening process. Home Depot was rated Computerworld's #1 "Best Place to Work" in three of the eight years the ratings had been published and was the only company to be in the top 20 in each year. Griffin and Anderson realized that their insights, which were based upon a unique combination of their own M.B.A. skills and training, and their deep understanding of I.T. technology, could prove of crucial value to other executives struggling to adapt their organizations to the new realities of a global, real-time, customer-driven market. They consequently founded Griffin Anderson & Co., a consulting firm specializing in I.T. restructuring, systems planning and management; the Griffin Anderson Institute, dedicated to preparing the next generation of I.T. and business leaders for I.T. excellence; and Griffin Anderson Ventures, whose goal is to identify and bring to market leading-edge technology products that provide solutions where none currently exist.
