In our quest to offer you, the consumer, a new retail experience, we at Carousel Farms have designed a consumer friendly system providing you with a direct link to our Iowa family farms for superior quality beef and pork products. The animals are raised in environmentally safe, sound and spacious conditions to ensure their health so there is less need to use antibiotics. Supplemental hormones are not used on our farms. We have also limited the number of hands your meat goes through from the time it leaves the farm to the time it ends up on your table ready for your family to eat. During an average route from the farm, meat changes hands several times before you purchase it. Carousel Farms has taken it upon itself to use one federally inspected USDA processor and ship the government inspected meat directly to your home. This is a quality control system we are very proud of AND it gives us a way to track any particular cut of meat back to our farms. Why has Carousel Farms Designed this system? Carousel Farms features the superior quality of Iowa corn-fed Angus beef, and has identified a genetic line of pork that excels in flavor and tenderness. In addition, our "hands on" selection process of the pork and beef is designed to select only those animals that the owners feel will produce the flavor and tenderness that will ensure the consumer's dining pleasure.
