The Folks at Crop Insurance Services: Greg Wheelock has been in crop insurance since 1984. He is considered a resource in the industry and fields questions from the U of M, lenders, educators, agents, and farmers on all areas of crop insurance. Greg is always seeking new ways to provide better service through software, new product development, recommendations to crop insurance providers, and ventures such as GPS mapping. His knowledge of federal programs, crop insurance options, farming ventures, and marketing, combined with his innovative service make Crop Insurance Services a leader in the insurance field. Greg uses his expertise and detailed knowledge of crop insurance to develop a plan which best meets the risk management needs of individual clients. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Greg was raised on a dairy and crop farm in Waseca, Minnesota and actively farmed it until 2001. Donnette Wheelock has been working with crop insurance since 1989. She currently operates Crop Insurance Services with her husband Greg, and her duties consist of underwriting, employee training, and office management. With an avid interest in serving others, Donnette is always eager to assist agents and farmers with questions they may have. She runs a highly organized, efficient operation where all federal deadlines are met, agents and farmers are kept apprised of the constant changes in crop insurance, and necessary documentation is obtained and meticulously maintained. Donnette is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Linda Wabner joined Crop Insurance Services in August of 2004. Linda has been in the insurance industry for 18 years, working for agencies and directly with companies. Linda is licensed in both Property/Casualty and Life/Health. She has experience in sales, customer service, problem resolution, and office management. In just a short time Linda has proven to be a valuable addition to CIS and it shouldn't be too long before we have this city-girl converted to a farm-girl! Linda will be involved in all areas of crop insurance including GPS mapping, sales, customer service, and underwriting. Mark Schull came to CIS in December of 2000, after working 11 years at Mankato Implement Inc. (John Deere) as a parts salesperson. Mark is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Waseca and Mankato State University with a degree in Marketing. He grew up on a dairy farm south of Mankato, Minnesota and now owns and operates the family farm raising holstein steers, corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. Mark's duties at CIS include GPS field mapping, crop insurance sales, and servicing existing crop insurance accounts. Mark has proved over the years that he enjoys working in the Ag. industry and has always been known to work in the best interests of the farmer. Per his wife, Mark spends his spare time working his butt off cleaning barns and shoveling corn.
